FAQ'S

  • Do you repair electric bikes? Yes, we repair all makes and models of electric bikes with few exceptions.
  • Do you work on electric scooters? Yes, we work on almost every electric scooter on the market with few exceptions.
  • What are your hours? We are open every day 10am-6pm except Tuesday from April 1st to December 31st. From January 1st to March 31st, we are closed Sunday's and Tuesdays.
  • Where are you located? We are located at 1939 Springfield Ave. in Maplewood, N.J.
  • Can you pick up my bike? Yes, we offer free pickup and delivery for all of Essex County including Union and Hillside Township's. We also offer pickup service for areas outside of our free coverage area for an affordable cost based on your location.
  • What's your turn around time? Bike repairs differ depending on the service. On average during the peak season (April-August) average turnaround time is typically within 24-48. If replacement parts need to be ordered, this will delay the completion of repair. Tire and tube replacement is typically done while you wait or before end of the business day.
  • Do you repair batteries? We do not repair batteries of any kind. We can and will order replacement batteries if needed or requested.
  • Do You sell chargers for electric bikes or scooters? Yes, however the majority of the time chargers will need to be ordered which may take up to 48 hours and battery replacement can take up to 7-14 days.
  • Can you ship my bike? Yes, we offer pack and ship service. We will disassemble and professionally box your bike to ship. We can also arrange to have it picked up from our shop and shipped to anywhere in the continental United States including Puerto Rico, Alaska. & Canada. 
  • I ordered an electric bike can you assemble it? Yes, we assemble all electric bikes. You can also arrange to have it delivered directly to us and avoid you having to schlep it to us.
  • I ordered a bike online can you assemble it? Yes, we can assemble your bike despite where it was purchased. If you prefer you can also have your bike shipped directly to us and avoid having to shlep it to us.  
  • I have an error code on my electric bike or electric scooter what does it mean? In order to properly assess the cause for any particular error code we will have to perform a "Diagnostic" on the electrical system. Although the manufacturer may make available an "error code chart" we do not rely on that alone and still will check the entire electrical system to accurately assess the cause of the error code.
  • I have an old bike that has been in storage for many years, can you make it rideable again? Yes, we not only service and repair all late model bikes we also rehabilitate vintage bikes regardless of year, make, or model.
  • Do you sell bike rack for cars? Yes, we not only sell trunk racks we sell hitch racks as well. 
  • Do you sell child seats for bikes? Yes, we sell child seats. The brand we prefer and have in stock is from Topeak and is a rear mounted seat rated for 40pds max and intended for children over 18mos and below age 3. There are other brands and types we sell but will need to be ordered as needed.
  • Do you repair or replace wheelchair tire/tubes? Yes, we do.
  • Do you repair brakes on rollators/walkers? Yes, we do.
  • Do you repair tire/tubes on strollers? Yes, we do.
  • Do you sell tricycles? Yes, we sell trikes however we do not keep in stock due to the space they take up. Give us a call to discuss brands available?
  • if I call, can you tell me what's wrong with my bike? No, we will not attempt to diagnose issues with your bike over the phone regardless of what type of bike it is. We recommend for you to bring your bike in at your earliest convenience for an accurate assessment.
  • My tire is flat; can you inflate it for me? Yes, however if your tube isn't punctured and all you need is air. We have an air hose located outside of our store on the Ohio St. side of the building and is FREE to use. If you prefer us to inflate your tires than there is a $5.00 per tire fee.
  • Can you ship my electric bike or scooter? Yes, we are authorized to ship electric bikes and scooters.

  • How much will it cost to fix my bike? It's not possible to give you an accurate quote sight unseen however for many common repairs and services such as tire and tube replacement you can click the "Services" tab on our site then "Bike tune-ups & repair or "e-bike & e-scooter services" to see labor cost for common repairs and services.
  • Do you offer financing? Yes, we offer quick and easy financing and approval is possible without a positive credit score. We also accept other programs such as Klarna, and PayPal. Apply Now 
  • Do you rent bikes? Yes, we partnered with Whizz to offer high-quality long-range e-bikes for rental and rent-to-own. The rental option is a 30-day minimum.
  • Do you buy used bikes? No, however we do accept trade-ins and will issue a credit towards the purchase of a new bike. (terms & conditions apply)
